TRAILER

This William S. Paley Television Festival live event honors Glee, a music-based comedy/drama series about members of a glee club (and their teachers) at a high school in Ohio. Marc Malkin (senior editor, E! Online) moderates the following panelists: series co-creators/executive producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk; executive producer Dante Di Loreto; series co-creator/co-executive producer Ian Brennan; and cast members Jonathan Groff (Jesse St. James), Jessalyn Gilsig (Terri Schuester), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina Cohen-Chang), Kevin McHale (Artie Abrams), Dianna Agron (Quinn Fabray), Mark Salling (Noah "Puck" Puckerman), Jayma Mays (Emma Pillsbury), Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel), Amber Riley (Mercedes Jones), Cory Monteith (Finn Hudson), Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester), and Matthew Morrison (Will Schuester). The panelists touch on such topics as: how Murphy dramatically switched gears from Nip/Tuck to Glee; why only cover songs are performed on the show; lines which have "pushed the envelope"; who picks the musical selections; how Madonna's tribute episode originated; "newbie" Groff's reaction to joining the cast; Murphy basing the gay character of Kurt on himself; and if Lynch and Gilsig enjoy being the "dark forces" on an upbeat show. Questions from the audience then lead to a discussion of the following topics among others: unusual interactions with fans and future plot developments.
